My family's been going here since I was a kid for the authentic Korean food. The kimchee is not too spicy or soft and if you can't decide what to get (cuz their menu is huge) I recommend the jab-che, or chop-chay, a transparent thin rice noodle dish with stir fried sliced pork and crisp-tender cabbage strips - The flavor is like nothing else!!! They recently re-did the interior and it looks so clean and inviting, so don't be scared away just because the building looks a little old on the outside. I don't really like the sweet and sour soup, but the egg drop and wonton soups are great.

I love this stuff so much, it is very good and tasty. It makes me all kinds of happy. I can has sweet and sour pork and orange chicken and stuff and it is so good. I am jumping up and down.

I've been eating at Shan Hu with my family for many years now. I am probably the pickiest Chinese eater you'll ever meet. Very few chinese places impress me. Shan Hu is absolutely the best, hands down. Some suggestions : Shrimp with Garlic Sauce - For those who like it a little spicy. If you want it even spicier, just tell them and they'll make it for you. Peking Shrimp - My wife's favorite. Hard to describe, but wonderful. Bean Curd with Black Mushrooms - Great option for vegetarians. Delicious. I alternate between this and the Shrimp with Garlic sauce. Still trying to figure out which is my favorite. I think if I continue research over the next 30 years or so, maybe I'll figure it out. This place is located near Hobby Airport on Belfort. It is worth the drive...regardless of where you live! The same family also owns another restaurant in Pasadena on Fairmont Parkway called the Flaming Wok. Same quality food with almost identical menus. I love it, love it, love it!!!!!

Small neighborhood friendly restaurant, the food is excellent. It's a family owned business and they go out of their way to know their customers personally;it's not business as usual and I recommend it to everybody.

I've been eating here since I was a kid and it is the most authentic and fresh tasting Chinese food in Houston at a great price. It's a good location for a no frills family style dinner.
